Sorry, But I dont like this show.

Obviously you've never seen it when it was g4tv. Back then all it's shows were good, bow like 2 are good, x-play, and code monkeys

First of all, I'd like to know how you've seen 7 episodes of this show when only 6 have been aired so far????? And 2nd, while it's your right to not like the show, I think maybe you're just a little too young to appreciate some of the jokes in the show. You say you enjoyed the Contra's and SMB3 when you were a kid, but most of the references go back even farther to the Atari and Colleco (sp?) games of yore, with a few original nintendo game jokes thrown in.

I'm guessing you started playing video games in the early 90's and these are references to early 80's games. So while you may not get it or find it funny, that certainly doesn't mean it's crap! If anything, this show needs to be on Spike or Comedy Central, since it really appeals to an age group that is a bit older than what G4 caters too.

Wow there's lots of hate around here for this show. For those that hate long post..my apologies in advance..
I personally liked the show,AND i consider myself to be well above average intelligence.

I don't let my intelligence become hubris so to speak..I see the things in life that are just flat out stupid for what they are,comedic. I could get irritated and cynical about life,which leads a person to go around hopeless,and depressed OR i could see all the stupid little things people do,and say,and get a good laugh out of them.

As for G4,I absolutely HATE G4 and MOST of it's programming,I was a holdover from the old TechTV which i loved. TTV,with it's mostly informational shows,was one of the reasons i got to be so proficient,and comfortable with my PC,versus G4 who's shows were mostly just trash,plain and simple ,all the Japanese game shows with the idiotic voice-overs,the cluster of videogame shows that from time to time even rehashed the same information from another show..they at least learned that,you can't base a WHOLE NETWORK SOLELY AROUND VIDEOGAMES..good in concept,bad in execution.

Then there's the largely Youtube clip based"news"show AoTS,even the "new" XPlay,which is now more about skits,and random stupidity than an actual,factual game reviews..oh yeah,and Morgan Webb's tits too..can't forget those,after all,the reason the little teeny boppers who watch these days want her "replaced"now is because she doesn't"fit the format"anymore,now that she married,lmao..but that's another topic for another day...

Code Monkeys is about the only thing i watch on G4,because i find it hilarious like most of De La Pena's stuff,edgy,with an underlying method-to-the-madness approach. I don't watch the show for it's sophistication,i watch it for the dirty fun it provides,and yes...people who actually REMEMBER the 80's will be the ones who mostly "get"this show.
If i want sophistication,and "high brow"humor,i'll go watch some re-runs of "Frazier",a show that i also thoroughly enjoyed in it's time.

As for things that should be cancelled,try the rest of the backwash,and castoff they air...CM is about the only thing original,and funny they have.

If your such a retro gamer then you should be jubilant about this show. Finally there is a show that connects a gamers life to our odd humor. The show absolutely brilliant and if you don't understand it then you always have family guy or south park,,,
