wasn't is a bit scary for a pg movie ?

The visuals of the movie are stunning ,but i think it was pretty scary .i watched it with a 8year old and a 7year old and both them and me really jumped our seats on one or two occasions and overall to me it seemed scary always waiting for something to go crazy or screaming ...i mean when the 3d spirit came ,and it was the shadow of death i found that pretty disturbing with those slow moves ,the claws ,and the impression that something is gonna happen all of the sudden ... and those scenes when the first ghost came ... i found it somehow scary overall ,one thing is for sure ,it's a very atmospheric movie

It's not a children's movie nor did Dickens write it to be one, but using the motion caption I can understand why some parents thought it would have been a lighter version of the story as they like it to a cartoon (it's not). So yea, it does have darkness and as it's rated PG 13 not a good movie for a 7 year old.

The Spirit of Christmas Future is probably the scariest thing Disney has ever done for any young children watching. The way that the Spirit Of Christmas Past disintegrates into a skeleton my be disturbing for some of them as well.

I think the Banshee on Darby O'Gill and the Little People was the scariest thing I can think of from Disney, that along with the death coach moving across the night sky in the same film.

The amazing thing was that they were such cheap effects from a production standpoint, but they're two of the most durable of images.
