Halloween Ends underperforms at the box office

It was expected to make $50 million but ended up making $43 million which is still very good but not quite what they expected. It is also a step down from Halloween Kills which made $49.4 million its opening weekend. This article seems to put all the blame on Peacock and that is likely part of it, but I also think it's getting pretty bad word of mouth and many are still turned off Halloween after Kills. But regardless, still a very good performance and I wouldn't consider it a flop by any means.

I hope the drop off in week 2 is historically bad. The studio need to understand how fucking atrocious this film is and that they can't greenlight shit like this any more.

It is the 13th halloween film, kind of hard to keep the folks interested.
