Crappy Ending
Don’t you love it when a movie has a ton of good guys surround the bad guy but instead of working together to end him they all just politely take turns going mano a mano?
No, me neither. But Halloween Kills subverts that trope nicely, you’ll find. And then quickly un-subverts it. Maybe the mob felt defeating him was too easy and they wanted to give Michael a fighting chance? Queensbury Rules, pip, pip!
They also portrayed that mob as way too bloodthirsty to be satisfied with anything less than literally tearing Michael limb from limb.
And how convenient and out-of-character it was that instead of riding with her daughter in the ambulance or following her to the hospital Judy G. thought it was the right time to trample through a crime scene so she could have a “this is where it all began…” moment. “Michael, I too have looked at my reflection in a window. We are not so different after all…. ugh…. Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle….”
