Crappy Ending

Don’t you love it when a movie has a ton of good guys surround the bad guy but instead of working together to end him they all just politely take turns going mano a mano?

No, me neither. But Halloween Kills subverts that trope nicely, you’ll find. And then quickly un-subverts it. Maybe the mob felt defeating him was too easy and they wanted to give Michael a fighting chance? Queensbury Rules, pip, pip!

They also portrayed that mob as way too bloodthirsty to be satisfied with anything less than literally tearing Michael limb from limb.

And how convenient and out-of-character it was that instead of riding with her daughter in the ambulance or following her to the hospital Judy G. thought it was the right time to trample through a crime scene so she could have a “this is where it all began…” moment. “Michael, I too have looked at my reflection in a window. We are not so different after all…. ugh…. Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle….”

The ending was satisfying to me because evil finally died at the end

Judy Greer was evil! Oh, I see. What a twist.

That was Lauries daughter who died in this movie. Check out the next one. It was much better and very unique. I won't spoil it for you other than when was the last time you saw a tag team slasher duo? Probably never

True. Except for Scream 1, 2, and 5.

Glad you liked Ends but I thought it was shit. They set up a trilogy and didn’t pay it off. Myers was the Juggernaut in Kills and Abe Simpson in Ends. Laurie being a regular granny made zero sense given Myers was still at-large. And they even ruined their whole Corey plot by removing him from the story just for yet another Laurie-Michael fight. It should have taken place on the same night. And it should have been a more intimate, cat-and-mouse game between Myers and the good guys, finishing the storylines they started for Laurie, Granddaughter, and Sheriff. Then this should have been a spin off. They literally gave up on their own story. None of the movies stand alone now like good sequels should; yet they don’t stand together and make a complete story now either.

Can you tell I was disappointed? I’m hoping the fanedit magicians will salvage something re-watchable.
