Good and didn’t feel too long

I think this movie is better than the likes of The last tycoon, The great Gatsby or even Chaplin and I think it would pair up well with Once upon a time in Hollywood or even Boogie nights. Just like I did for John Wick 4 last week, I watched the 3 hours over the course of 3 evenings. I found it to be quite entertaining, well done and extravagant but not decadent. I think those saying this movie was depraved, disturbing or, even worst, compared it to Saltburn, are in the wrong. The puke scene was a tad exaggerated and juvenile but other than that I honestly expected more wicked stuff. The cast was terrific, the story was pretty captivating and it made for a great hommage to early the years of Cinema. My rating: 7.5/10

Different strokes for different folks.

I love movies about movies, but it's the worst one I've ever seen.

Long, plodding, needlessly indulgent and a complete waste of the wonderful talents of Pitt and Robbie.

When it comes to early Hollywood, Chaplin (1992) is a far better film.

I really liked Robbie in it. Pitt was reliably solid. The lead was very good too. No worries, I’m sure there are other movies we both love.

It felt like Chazelle used the outrageousness of Kenneth Anger's "Hollywood Babylon" as inspiration, but I wish he would've drawn inspiration from Brownlow's "The Parade's Gone By..." or Von Sternberg's "Fun in a Chinese Laundry."
