Question About The Survivability On Earth

Augustine said there were no habitable places on earth, except underground, which was only temporary. In the event of a nuclear war, the worlds Governments and other essential workers would retreat into underground bunkers, with enough supplies to last a very long time, so why would it only be temporary? Life as we know it would obviously be changed forever, but I'm assuming it wouldn't be the end of the human race?

reply

Nukes do NOT make the earth uninhabitable! Hiroshima was rebuilt right away.

Chernobyl created a few kilometers of "dead zone" from tonnes of nuclear waste.

reply

A full scale, worldwide nuclear exchange certainly would make the world inhabitable.
