The whole PG-13 thing.

According to the co-writer, April Wolfe, they initially had an R in mind, but test screenings made them do a 180. However, in a interview, the director said they were always aiming for a PG-13. I haven't listened to the audio commentary on the DVD/Blu-ray - do they bring up the rating issue on there?

reply

An R-rating probably would have come across as "misogynistic" to the director.
