Good film, but not great
Most of the film was great, until Carnegie got the book, then it went all downhill from there. I'm fine with sprinkling religion in here and there in small bits, however, it went overboard with the Christianity, and it just ruined it for me.
Denzel is always great. He's a really good action star. His father was a minister, and he wants to be one, so this film was in his wheelhouse, so to speak.
Mila did ok. Jennifer Beals did good. Ray did ok. Gary Oldman was fine.
Loved the colour palette of the film. The apocalyptic setting was really done well.
Could've been great, but it's just good.
