This show is, & I’m losing my patience with it as a result. I’m waiting for pretty much anything to happen without any payoff.

Big deal Natalie Dormer’s character is at 5 places at once. Is this supposed to be the main thing? But her character is a waste, Santa Muerte is a waste, all she ever does is sulk & get pissed off when she’s called & asked to help anybody which she never does so what’s the freaking point?

Plus Dormer’s demoness needs to get on with it & start dealing if I’m going to pay any attention. Maria flip flops between being badass who can go toe to toe with Alex to scared little woman again.

Two episodes left! For craps sake Showtime, DO something! What a snooze fest.

Not only that. It’s a cop show, not an occult show, ergo, it’s NOT Penny Dreadful. It’s a shit version of The Wire with a side order of the arcane. I like some of the performances, but naming this Penny Dreadful is an outright fraud. I will say, though, that I’ve really enjoyed the dance scenes in this. They’re exuberant, boisterous and just plain fun.

But, if you want to talk about SLOW, try American Clods, I mean, Gods. That’s a NO burn.
