Well, not exactly.
These days, when every type of minority makes noise about a person of the wrong race, ethnicity or sexual orientation being cast for a role, they should have taken extra care to follow through on their initial promise.
It's just that nobody cares about offending the Jews. They wouldn't have dared to do that with anyone else.
The complainers and the perpetrators are different people. The world would be a better place if we stopped seeing people as groups when individual behavior is addressed.

I don't think you read the thread prior to responding, but the simple fact of the matter is that this would have been completely unacceptable and would have caused a lot of noise if it was any minority other than the Jews.
