Cancellation Announced

AMC says that the series will be cancelled after the second season. It hasn't even premiered yet!

The term is "limited series". This was intended to be a two season story arc from the beginning, providing background for the Rick Grimes movies and the Daryl & Carol show (whatever that ends up being called).

More like they could see there is no way people will be watching this after the first/second season. Best to admit failure early and move on...

I've since heard that. Thanks.

FYI: I turned off the first episode after about 20 minutes. So I'd be surprised if it makes the second season.

It's already been greenlit, so it would take something extraordinary to keep season 2 from being made. My main complaint about this show is that it's been moving slowly and not enough is happening to advance the plot. I wish they'd pick up the pace!

Due to McBride's absense from Season 1, with her not being able to relocate to Europe for Season 1 of Daryl Dixon shooting, in 2023 we found out that Season 2 of Daryl Dixon will be called The Walking Dead - Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol and the Rick Grimes movies will now just be a limited TV series called The Ones Who Live, which will be CRM focused with Terry O'Quinn (John Locke from ABC's LOST) playing Major General Beale (mentioned multiple times throughout World Beyond).

World Beyond parts of Season 1 and most of Season 2 ended up being very CRM focused, which gave us a lot more info about the group years before Rick's show, looking forward to some answers.
