More duets
Hilty and Mueller were dynamite together (and solo, of course). Too bad they didn’t have more duets in the film.

shareI just finished the movie and was overall disappointed by it.
It seems less of a movie and more of a collection of scenes. Like, there's a clear Act I that leads to Patsy and Loretta meeting each other, but after that there really wasn't much of a story. Instead of a clear narrative, it was mostly just the two of them hanging out until Patsy's death and the quick wrap-up.
As for more duets . . . sure, that might have helped. More music in general would've helped. For a movie about Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn there was surprisingly little music.
My expectations for this movie were really low (Lifetime, I think?). Iirc, it indeed is a collection of stories, as recollected by the real life daughters of the two main characters.
shareYou must be jumbling up multiple movies. This was indeed a Lifetime production but there was nothing about the recollections of their daughters.
sharePerhaps I overstated, but their daughters co-produced. I remember reading they were involved in telling the story of their mother’s friendship.

I see.
I guess if they were producers they would've had a large role in the way the story came together, but I definitely feel the script could've benefited from greater narrative direction and focus.
