More duets

Hilty and Mueller were dynamite together (and solo, of course). Too bad they didn’t have more duets in the film.

I just finished the movie and was overall disappointed by it.

It seems less of a movie and more of a collection of scenes. Like, there's a clear Act I that leads to Patsy and Loretta meeting each other, but after that there really wasn't much of a story. Instead of a clear narrative, it was mostly just the two of them hanging out until Patsy's death and the quick wrap-up.

As for more duets . . . sure, that might have helped. More music in general would've helped. For a movie about Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn there was surprisingly little music.

My expectations for this movie were really low (Lifetime, I think?). Iirc, it indeed is a collection of stories, as recollected by the real life daughters of the two main characters.

You must be jumbling up multiple movies. This was indeed a Lifetime production but there was nothing about the recollections of their daughters.

Perhaps I overstated, but their daughters co-produced. I remember reading they were involved in telling the story of their mother’s friendship.

I see.

I guess if they were producers they would've had a large role in the way the story came together, but I definitely feel the script could've benefited from greater narrative direction and focus.
