Who knew Zac Efron was so talented?

I was pleasantly suprised at how good ZE is in this movie. He's a very good actor, and he's obviously been on the basketball court more than a few times. I have a whole new respect for this guy.

I know a lot of people who dislike him because he was in High School Musical, even though they haven't seen it. And a lot of people who hate Kirsten Steward, and refused to see Snow White & The Huntsman as it was the girl from "Twilight".
But Zac Efron he is supposed to I think meant to actually be a nice person, and he is quite talented.
There were rumours about a Back to the Future remake in the past two years, and that he could play Marty, thinking about it, he probably WOULD be the best choice to play Marty.

Let's not go nuts! It wasn't exactly a complex role!

I guess they made Zac tone down his acting ability in the HSM series so he'd be a match for Vanessa Hudgens.

I am glad you all find him great in this movie too. Didn't expect to be so touched when he talked about how parents love their children in front of his daughter in the class and in the courtroom, when he read the letter to his wife.

Ill echo the same thing you all are saying. Very talented actor but he is certainly a surprise. It will be interesting to see how he handles it when he gets matched with a star power level actor. Wouldn't mind seeing how he would play off a DeNiro, Pacino, Depp or the like.

We will know then. It will strictly be a pass/fail type of thing.

I just saw this by accident. I had no idea who the main actor was until coming here.

Kid is really talented. He's reminding me of a young tom cruise/michael j fox

He's gotta take better movie scripts though. He's wasting time. He could definitely be a big budget movie action/comedy man.
