Did any muslims watch this?

I'm wondering what they're reaction was to this movie. I thought it was pretty offensive to Muslims.

I'm not Muslim btw, my family is Christian and I guess I am to. I'm more agnostic since I could go either way and don't know.

I watched this together with two Iraqi, and they laughed even harder than me :)

Offensive to whites as well.

On top of that, very very unfunny. One of Sandler's worst movies..

Given that the film was made by jews I think expecting a critique of Zionism would be a little optimistic, however I was pleasantly surprised in a lot of ways. The Palestinians in the film were portrayed sympathetically as individuals, everyone got together and lived in peace at the end and perhaps most radically of all, the big capitalist was shown to be dividing and ruling over the ordinary working people by fostering racism and conflict. The ordinary arabs and jews defeated him by putting aside their differences and working together. That's actually a pretty subversive message to come out of a daft Hollywood comedy.

I used to want to change the world. Now I just want to leave the room with a little dignity.

reply

Well that's what jews do, they're responsible for most of the racist propaganda, and people don't see it.

But this one is just Israeli propaganda, so it was way too much.
