There will be no season nine after disappointed fans turn their back to Game of Thrones.

at this rate if the final episode got cancelled it would be a blessing. like jesus christ dodging the final nails.

Actually, several spin-offs could be canceled. Two years ago, there were 4 spin-offs planned.

Right now, one of them (the prequel) will likely happen, but the other three haven't been updated since then, and they're likely to be canceled eventually due the low approval of the season finale.
