Bronn, Yara.... etc. - Spoilers of course

Had mixed feelings after Episode 5. Visually stunning, lots of Blood and Fire. The inner child of mine is satisfied. But once again, I'm also disappointed about lots of points, as so many times this season. Sorry to list thing others mentioned before, I've read most posts, but still, here are my thoughts:

- so, Eurons character was pretty pointless

- Dany and Drogon can wipe out a fleet armed to the teeth, something that couldn't been done the week before

- the "pop-up" of Bronn leading nowhere (yet?), but even it does, it seems random, especially with Jamie gone now

- will Yara even come back or she just took back the Iron Islands and stays there?

- Bran is - despite the big character arc, the all-seeing three-eyed-raven - not that important to the whole story? Even it ends as the leaks say, he didn't really had anything to do lately

- even I don't like her: what has become of Ellaria Sand? Probably died off-screen in Ep5...but still a bit disappointing

- Arya really never using here face-changing skills again?

Of course I'll tune in next weekend. And even though Season 8 disappoints me, the ride here was a good one. Endings to series are rarely satisfying. But I hope I get some surprises (good ones please) in the last episode and I hope that the leaks are wrong one some parts (which it doesn't look like).

I was thinking about Ellaria too. She was to be kept alive deep in the dungeons, so could have survived provided there was still some air. But she's probably buried alive - chained, not a chance to get through the pile of ruins on the surface.

I agree with all of the above...

I really hope that Bran somehow gets something improtant to do in the last episode because if his whole arch was only to be a decoy so they could kill the Night King... then that just seems stupid... And if the Night King's most important task was to kill the Three Eyed Ravan... then why not just stay beyond the wall and make sure that you do not get touched by him so you are safe... Shouldn't the old Three Eyed Raven have tought Bran that right away???

Last week, they were flying in a straight line, more or less, making it easy for the Iron Fleet to target them and take down the second dragon. This time, I'm sure Drogon was doing a lot of evasive manouvres to avoid the Scorpions, and (it looked like to me) flying behind them or out of their range in other ways. Besides, Dany was pissed.

I think that was the last we'll see of Bronn, ever. It was a weird final appearance, however.

He will NOT sit on the Iron Throne, he's hardly suited to it.

I hope you'll be right about Bran NOT sitting on the Throne....or be in charge at all.

Arya should have grabbed Missandei’s head, stolen the face then she could use that to get by GreyWorm to assassinate Daenarys,
.

reply

Except greyworm saw Missandei decapitated

reply

Not going to work since they watched Missandei's head get lopped off. Greyworm and Dany would have to be unaware Missandei's dead for that to work.

reply

Yeah but magical weird things happen all the time in their world.

reply

Well Dany hasn't seen anything good by the dead coming back to life. I stand by it not working unless they're THAT stupid.

Ellaria Sand has been chained up in a well light dungeon for months doing nothing but staring at her daughters rotting corpse. She probably welcomed being crushed beneath the red keep.
