Does Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen have a death wish or something?

I know he's supposed to be the courageous hero or whatever but it's so frustrating watching him be such a slave to his emotions. It's immersion killing too. His character seems pretty savvy to strategy/the big picture but when it comes to battle he's always putting himself in the stupidest most vulnerable positions.

"OMG THERE'S THE ANTI HERO I MUST KILL .. [who cares if there's an enemy dragon and im outnumbered 100 to 1] CHARGE!!!"

Nobody has been such a dumb ass in battle and survived over and over and over again.

And don't even get me started on the battle of the bastards where Ramsay Bolton was clearly using one of the Stark brothers as a trap and Jon Snow stupidly just charged out after him only to throw off their entire battle plan/strategy they discussed before the battle.

SMH.

In such a dangerous world like the GoT world it's really off putting to see the guy who seems to care about his life the least surviving over and over again.

Jon isn't the one with the death wish, anyone who follows him has a death wish!

Really, he's killed off entire armies of allies! All the Black Brothers who followed him are dead, and so are all the Wildlines, and now the Dothraki and Unsullied and loyal Northerners are all dead. He's got nobody behind him except a couple of dozen people who survived the crypts by now. He and Dany could fit all their supporters on the dragons by now!

And oh yeah, the Lord of the North who pissed of Sansa by staying home and coming to Winterfell made the right choice. They're all fine.

Ahaha that's a good point! Never really thought about it before, but yep, John is the one dude that keeps finding himself alone, exposed and outnumbered...in a completely fuckered position. Lol too funny...the guy is just as lucky as he is a hothead...I guess.
Yeah he did it twice this episode...he'd have been a snowsickle had that dragon not been obliterated with the ice king.
He's definitely a smarter character than that, and while it makes for some dramatic ex machina moments, is just as much immersion breaking as it is entertaining, isn't it? Was thinking that when he was somehow fighting off the dozens of zombies surrounding him after his attempt on the king. Good point.
