I know a lot of people didn't like this one much, feeling that it dragged on too long, but for me, I like this movie the best out of all 8 films. Not sure why, I just liked the mood of it and I think it captured the book perfectly (the first half of the book, anyway). I liked part 2 as well, but most of the interesting stuff happened in part 1.
shareI think it's my favorite. GoF and HBP are close behind. I agree with you that there is just something about the mood that appeals to me and is so strongly and consistently executed that it carries the film. The first few minutes of 2 have the same feel, but it dissipates quickly after that.
