I really like this show.

I'm watching it on DVDs from Netflix. I've only seen the first six episodes from season one,
so please no spoilers from subsequent episodes in responses. Thanks!

Observations:

To me this series is a mash up of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (the narration), Dead Like Me (touching people who are already dead instead of those who are about to die), and a Dr Suess book. It's kind of goofy and silly, but sweet.

Lee Pace (the Pie Maker) seems like a cross between Robert Downey Jr and Jon Cusak (two of my favorite actors.

I love the name of his pie shop: The Pie Hole.

I love the homages: "I can hold my breath for a long time." (Creepshow), Making love in the car (Titanic), and the spinning image of Emerson (Vertigo).

Too bad this was canceled after only two seasons. After I've finished watching the entire series I'll come back and view some of the other posts.
