This was very difficult for me to watch. It was actually the first film, ever , to make me queasy. I almost had to turn it off, BUT not quite. What a sick way to want to check out of this life.

Since it's about two men who had sex with each before one of them ate the other, I don't see how it could've been made any other way. Maybe as a courtroom drama, I guess. I can't say that I enjoyed it and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but I don't regret seeing it. Watching it once is more than enough, though.

I haven't seen it and to be honest I don't really know if I want to.I saw the 'Bodyshock' documentary on Channel 4 in the Summer called 'The Man Who Ate His Lover' and if this is in any way accurate to the real case-I think I'll give it a miss,it made we wince just hearing about it.

I consider myself pretty open minded and I love movies and what goes into them, but this motion picture has probably influenced me to stop seeing movies altogether. This one has pushed the envelope farther than it should be pushed. It cant get any sicker than this movie. It's well filmed, well acted and well edited-a very good example of film craft, indeed. But it so god awful depraved and perverted it should never be seen by another human being again.

I just watched it. Partly at least. I skipped the disgusting sex scenes and turned it off when he cut off the penis. Thid was way too much. I dont see any point in macking/watching a movie like that. It had no characters, no message, no plot. Just a disturbing atmosphere, which is also pointless, beacause it doesnt support any idea.

I just watched this the other night. One of the most extreme films I've seen. The homosexual stuff really didn't bother me, nor the wangs hanging around! I wasn't aroused by it, but I wasn't disgusted either. I thought the film's music was great and the way that it was shot! The overdubbing was so so. The last 40 mins or so, the actual gore scenes...were almost too much. There were times, and I've only done this a few times, where I actually had to close my eyes so I wouldn't see what was coming. It didn't matter though, because I still knew what was going on. So I wonder....what's the deal with the special effects? This movie has effects I've never seen before! Why isn't there some sort of special program on how the FX was achieved? The question is...can this actor really be accounted for...or was he actually killed for the making of this film?

Knowing that this film was actually based on a true story, I find it to be that much more disturbing.

I'm just glad this film isn't the recording that the Armin Meiwes himself made.

Yeah, I find homosexual porn as disgusting as the next guy, but what was in here didn't constitute porn and wasn't disturbing.

You missed the point. This movie was not made to entertain you. It is a documentary of real events.
