Not liking Skyler isn’t misogynistic

I remember that Skyler was hated by the fans when this was on and some attributed it to misogyny. I don’t think that’s the reason at all. I am watching the second season and Skyler is constantly on my nerves. She is clearly looking for a new husband because she thinks Walt is dying and acting like an idiot around her boss while pregnant. Singing at the birthday party was one of the cringiest things I have seen on TV. She is just an unpleasant character.

You're not a misogynist per say. You just fell for Walter White's brainwashing.

reply

How was he brainwashing people?

The audience hate her for good reason and this is the reason:

That’s always the default excuse when it comes to woke culture. You’re either an ist or a phobe if you don’t agree with what they like.

I actually liked Skyler when she was helping Walt and taking Walt’s side when he was going against Hank. Hated her though after she turned her back on Walt when Hank died.

I think you're full of it.
It is misogyny because it is repeated across a lot of series the same thing.

One great moment with Skyler was when was so outraged at Bogdon the Car
Wash owner she insisted their purchase of a car wash had to be that car wash.
She insisted also because Bogdon insulted Walt.

She was a smart lady ... and what woman with kids and no career would not
be thinking about the future or want some emotional support when Walt put
her through all that with the lies, drug-dealing, crazy stories. multiple cellphones.

I believe all these bad things Walt did either still hadn’t happened or she didn’t know about them when she was putting it out for her boss. As far as she knew, Walt was a great father dealing probably with terminal cancer and still she was all over her boss. Therefore no excuse for her behavior.
