Anyone feel sorry for Walt in 'Ozymandias'?

He really was pretty blameless in this one episode. (Note I didn't say "ever" or "over the course of the series", just this one episode) He did everything he could to prevent Hank form being murdered, and did not know it was Hank when he called the Nazi crew, then has his money stolen. His crazy wife pulls a knife on HIM and stabs him, which then turns into his half-wit son telling the police that he pulled the knife on HER. This didn't exactly make me hate Walt and be on team Skyler. Note that all this happened because that fatsumbitch Hank had to gloat about arresting a family member to his hideous wife, who then had to gloat about that to Skyler and Junior. Had she not done that, they wouldn't have kept questioning him where Hank was. And all this was caused by Pinkman being a rat fink. The whole thing frustrated me. They should have made his downfall more obviously caused by Walt's direct actions, but he had pretty much got out of the game at this point and it was other people not being able to let it go and just leave him be that led to his endgame.

I see where you're coming from, but I disagree. Everything in this episode is still connected directly to Walt. None of it would have happened had he not gotten into the business. It's all a slow boil, and this episode is the fallout from long-gestating plot lines, which is why the episode is so satisfying. Would've felt rushed otherwise.

Yeah, he tried to save Hank, after knowing for a while Hank was on his trail.

Yeah, Skyler pulled the knife first, after coming to the conclusion he likely had a part in Hank's death. He was erratic and violent, she was justified. And at that point, who pulled the knife first is a technicality, why would Flynn put the blame on her when she was the good parent?
