Your top 10 favorite posters in Big Bang Theory board history

Now that doomsday is almost upon us we can make posts like this.

1:Masstrip- masstrip was everything, funny charming, clever. He had obscure nerdy tastes and shared my love for such self -indulgent art as Invader Zim and Calvin and Hobbes comics. I was basically in love with him but he politely declined my 17 marriage proposals.

2: Sandman- he left a long time ago. Extremely intelligent poster, long time English professor, scholar and gentleman, former actor, basically the most interesting man in the world not selling DOS EQUIS.

3:Gothish- The sister I never had, my "New Girl" buddy who really got me into the show. One of my best online friends, the jelly to my peanut butter.

4:fourlemons- the matriarch of the board, silly , zany but at the same time level headed with interesting takes on every aspect of the show; opened our eyes to unorthodox veiws and weird animal combinations.

5:Censorshipsucks- One of the smartest , most experienced posters here with great takes and a vast knowledge of sports history and music. Taught me much about life and that I wouldn't have known otherwise.

6: Natehb: Currently my best buddy on the board who I discuss sports and political hot takes with especially emperor... Ahem I mean President ,Trump.

7:Vanessa Rutherford: ,A lot of you don't remember her becuase she was only here a short period of time; she was really smart and hilarious and a huge Angie Tribeca fan (as am I).

8: Znex- HOW could you not love "bringing znexy back"? Genuine, kind, colorful personality.

9: PK Larkins: we rarely agreed on anything but she always stood her ground and I respected her deeply for it. Unfortunately we lost her last year ...R.I.P

10: Youmightrabbityoumight- Best verbal sparring partner I've had on here with, dare I say it, impeccable music tastes.

Now share your list ๎€

Thank you for the mention Erica, and who I recall as Starbucksgirl73 (?) when i first signed here. By the way "bringing znexy back" was a Lemons line, all credit to the citrus queen. As well as all the posters mentioned already I would like to add Kiwi (who was not from New Zealand as I thought) and Ash (who like Raj was from India and would talk about cricket matches with Swidgin).
It has been good to read your posts and comments Erica and of course seeing you pink border collie avatar here

reply

Erica, thank you for the kind things you said. You brought youth and spunk to this board, and kicked the excitement up a notch. And thanks for playing in so many of my threads. ๎€น

In addition to the many great people already named by the others, I would like to give a shout out to teresaccunha (Terri- Our pretty pink board doll and one of my very first friends on this board) and to Tim-Buktu (who I doubt was from Timbuktu, but I guess was from wherever really funny people live).

Heck, we're just all a special group. It's gonna be hard to let ya'll go.

I don't think I've ever looked for frogs under my butt while I was wearing my Snow White gown.

I'm getting all sentimental-ish, and I just see it getting worse the closer we get to the dread day. ๐Ÿ˜ข

Terri and Ash were indeed great former posters, and I think you brought out the playful side of ol' Tim. But that's just your way Lemons - you can turn a lion into a kitten with one spirited, spritely post. ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ‹

Thank you sweet Gothish. I love you.

And as of now I'm planning on staying up all night on the 19th if I can. I'm going to be hugging ya'll tight until the end.

Thanks Erica. ๎€น I've learned never to say never about anything. I'm not sure what my message-boarding future will be right now, but I promise to keep my mind open to possibilities.

Sandman was a gentleman? I remember seeing quite a few sexist and bigoted posts from him.

Gothish - I always looked forward to reading her, even on the rare occasions when I disagreed. A gem and asset to the board.

LiteraryLadyofLothlorien - She is ever a lady, the epitome of perception, good breeding and good taste.

tyghock - For so many reasons... when the climate would become toxic, he made coming back worthwhile.

Memenot (spelling?) - He was an apparantly short-lived user, memorable for his Guide to Judicious Use of Puppy Eyes and his hilarious video dismissal of an aggressively noisome poster.

MsWil - Her unalloyed pleasure in TBBT and informative news posts made her a joy.

jaynekranc - She could be prickly and direct, but nearly always brimming with good sense and insight.

louiseculmer , despite her utter loathing of Amy and her overuse of the word "amusingโ€‹" ๎„

woodmage - my tech cohort. His departure was keenly felt, though understandable. ๎€ต

Ash - I especially admired his comportment during the revolting "slum dog / kiss my white Italian a$$" firestorm.

In memoriam:
Swidgin - His lively Aussie spirit informed nearly every post. I enjoyed him so much.

PKLarkins - we often disagreed, but her intelligence, intensity and dry humour made all her posts worthwhile. There was a moronic user whose favourite retort was "blow it out your a$$". I laughed for days when PKLarkins said she could not oblige, but offered to send him her used colostomy bag. ๎‚ฉ ๎€ฆ

Sorry, that makes eleven! However, these are the posters I've invariably enjoyed most. As Trendrick says, the content of a post was paramount, so nearly everyone had moments in the sun.

To others, whose names are lost in the mists of time, who made me think, made me laugh, made me reexamine my views - my thanks to them and to many of you, even if you weren't mentioned. ๎€น

My dear Gothish, honour is as honour does. You decidedly merit the accolade.

Thank you for the kiss, but my lips belong to Mrs. Synchary alone! I raise my glass to you instead. ๎€น ๎€

Gothish, I informed my wife of our exchange, and when she learned it was you, she insisted I not only kiss your hand, but that I reprise my offer of puppy face as well. This is a high honour. Heretoforeโ€‹, only my mother had Mrs. S's "official leave" to receive PF.

Therefore, ยปkissยซ and...

Quite a few good posters and a few poor ones but I prefer not to grade anybody. Somebody who may not come across as particularly capable here may do very well on another board. PKLarkins would argue the paint off of a wall as others have noted but was willing to start a fresh on a new topic versus holding a grudge. Also, she was a very thoughtful person when it came to life in general.

reply

Synchary! Thank you for your lovely words.

I'm just off to blub in the corner now,,,

To you, Baldrick, the Renaissance was just something that happened to other people, wasn't it?

reply

I have to admit I was hesitant to post because I wasn't sure what people would think. I'm sure I've pissed off many people over the years (some more than others but everybody at least once), but I'll dive into the deep end of the pool and hope I surface.

These are in no particular order.

EricaRene-Price (your thread, you get to start) - You hated me at first and I deserved it. I was nasty towards you in the beginning and I was wrong for doing it. But you obviously know your stuff when it comes to BBT and life in general. I'm so glad our relationship improved over time.

FourLemons - definitely the den mother of the group. You are so Will Rogers: you never met a poster you didn't like. That's what makes you so awesome, and I will definitely miss the sunshine you brought to this board. ๎€…

Gothish - great person, very funny. Always glad to read her postings.

Censorship - Must have been Don Kirschner in a previous life. The man knows music and is as big of a fan of the show as there is. And you never backed down from anyone who trolled this board.

PK Larkins - (RIP) The lady loved this show. I thought she took it over the top from time to time, but no one could question her dedication. And she cared about the people here, to be certain.

Rabbit - The name is appropriate; you like to get crazier than the famous cartoon Wabbit. So unafraid to take on the trolls, you have one violating IMDb TOS just to stalk you.

Otter - I agree with Erica: he sounds a bit on the crazy-borderline-trollish side, but he really isn't. Just somebody who likes to ask the questions, even the tough ones. If he calls you out, you deserve to be called out.

Crazydude - that you are, but in the good, John-Blutarsky-from-Animal-House way. ๎€ฆ

VanessaRutherford - I agree with Erica on this: anyone who likes Angie Tribeca is OK in my book. ๎€‡

LiteraryLadyofLothlorien - I think I get my obsession for making sure my spelling, grammar, and punctuation are correct from worrying you'll correct me. (j/k) Awesome person, so likable.

Trendrick - like the honesty. Like Joe Friday...but you're a lot more fun.

Tyghock - if Trendrick is Joe Friday, Tyghock is Tommy Lee Jones: you get quality every single time without fail

Poptop - don't see much of their posts, but they're always good. And I have to return the favor of their mention, natch. ๎€‡

Special mentions as well to Masstrip, BiffGG, Louiseculmer (even though we disagreed a lot), Znex(whom I didn't know was the Justin Timberlake of this board), WickedKitties (but I'll wager my former cat, Praline, is more wicked ๎€‡), Swidgin (RIP).

If I missed anyone, I apologize.

Thank you Murph! You're the Big Daddy of the board for sure, and one of the first posters I remember seeing when I first started lurking around here.

Hey, do you remember dolphinslayer? That's another poster I remember from back in the day.

To you, Baldrick, the Renaissance was just something that happened to other people, wasn't it?

reply

Oh, my...that's hard.

PKLarkins I have missed so much even though we hardly ever agreed. Has to come first.
Murph for being such a voice of reason.
Tyghock, LiteraryLady, Synchary, Trendick for sure, for such good threads.
MSWill for helping out a spoiler whore more than once
Otter68 for liking Bob Newhart as much as I do.

reply

See, I KNEW I forgot a mention in my list. My apologies, Jayne. And also to kerryedavis, forgot a mention for you. My bad.

terrybabe didn't post a lot but she had a good thread going about books and had good comments about things.

I also remember a poster months ago who a few times would say "I will be watching the show with you" as a thread then come back with a minute by minute rundown of what happened . I thought that was interesting,

This is like that saying, that your life flashes before you at the end except it is now avatars and names and posts of the people here.

reply

That guy was Unscleric aka Blackjack. He liked to pretend he hated the show and television in general but I think he enjoyed it more than he led on.

Well Erica, I think this thread of yours has gathered all the people together that I want to keep reading after the 20th. Sorry to hear that Swidgin, 'that guy from Australia', passed. I knew about PK but missed hearing about him. Poo.
I'll archive these couple of pages and look for these names elsewhere.
I'll also keep checking out reddit but I think better options will pop up. A few have logged onto Themoviedb and it may grow. Have any of you checked it out?

reply

Themoviedb looks promising. I also logged into Reddit with this screen name. Not that anyone is looking for me, but in the off chance - those are the two places I think I'll be migrating.
