White boy ruined the movie

What the *beep* was the white boy doing in this movie?

Completely ruined it. Can't act for *beep*

When will we have a real Jackie Chan and Jet Li movie?

reply

Jet Li and Jackie Chan insisted the character be white.

Chase: Wow. Yeah, I get it. House is adorable. I just want to hold him and never let go.

Using big names as secondaries is a ploy to elevate the unknown lead. Didn't work in terms of Hollywood, but he's pretty good in the independent circuit

Why was the white guy there (and let’s leave aside the specific actor, let’s just stick with the issue of “the white guy”)? Try this on for size: There is not much of a martial art tradition among white Bostonians. I know. I am one. The white guy, ALL ON HIS OWN, became enamored of martial art. A magical door opened that led him to a world where he found his teacher(s), and the audience could participate in his journey of growth and understanding. The same thing happened for me. What percentage of martial art movie audiences do you think actually train at budshido, let alone at bushijitsu? Not a big percentage. What percentage dream about what that journey would be like? The percentage that was the target audience for this movie.

The white guy was not the lead. Get over your righteous selves. The white guy was a supporting actor. He’s not even in the movie poster! Sheesh!
