I am in my late 40's and my niece is almost 16, and yet we both are great fans of Dominic Cooper.
We first watched him in a BBC mini-series of Jane Austen's Sense & Sensibility. He played John Willoughby, the anti-hero of the film. Willoughby is the embodiment of an engaging, utterly charming and extremely handsome man. And Cooper plays him well.
Next we watched him as Sky in Mama Mia. Not only do we get to hear him sing (which he does pretty well)but we get to see him shirtless several times. He is drool worthy sexy.
Then he is Charles Grey in The Duchess. Not only do I feel the attraction and chemistry between him and Keira but you can feel the sad longing they feel when they met for the first time after their daughter is born, knowing they can never be together again.
Next we watch him in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter as Henry Sturges. A heroic vampire that teaches the future president on how to kill the bad vampires that excessively pray on southern slaves. Dominic plays his part to a Tee. He is alluring, mysterious but with a low key violence that lurks just below the surface. He is also fierce and loyal.
Needless to say that we two are great fans of Dominic Cooper. And we look forward to seeing him on the screen again soon, hopefully shirtless. :)
