What my son told the kids in his school about Wayside

My six year old son and I hit the library at least once a month and on one of our trips I happened to find Sideways tales from Wayside School. I read through it and thought it was funny and would be great bedtime reading material (Hubby and I read to our son before he goes to bed.) Well, he loved the book so of course I had to take out the other ones as well.
I was flipping through the channels one day and noticed Wayside on Nicktoons. My son was really excited about it but then he mentioned that some of the other kids in his first grade class had told him about the series. Now this is the best part- When my kiddo tried to explain that there are books about Wayside School, the kids in his class didn't believe him. So, my little man, PJ told those kids that they should go the library more often ;-).
That's my great little reader!

As a teacher it is great to see young children enthusiastic about reading. Also, good for you and your husband for reading to him every night. It is impossible to express how important that is for future development of your child.

Thanks and I totally agree! It's paid off as you can see from his comment. Now he's starting to write stories of his own. Even created his own comic book & his teacher let him read it to his class! I'm so proud of of our great little reader ;-).

Probably an alcoholic, she sounds like major narcissist. If he was 6 today, she would be intentionally turning him trans.

I remember those books :D I first heard about them in second grade and got to have all of them read to us in sixth grade. Louis Sachar was a great writer ;)

I like the books except Sideways arithmetic but this series was nothing like the books.
