Much better then Spectre

I actually really like this one. It was just non stop action, even if it was so frantically shot. I kinda like how he doesn't go through the motions of the typical Bond film. Getting a assignment, going to a exotic location, meeting a hot girl, then fighting the villain. I guess that's why everyone hated it. But come on the frantic pace was much better then the boring drag of Spectre.

Verily I say unto thee..there is no action in this movie that is visible to the naked eye.

I agree QOS is a better product than SP. SP is a passably entertaining film.

QOS has garnered new respect and appreciation from Bondian scholars.

Verily I say unto thee...in what world has the dreadful QoS garnered even a modicum of respect and appreciation? Not in the world I live in.

Imdb.com users collectively rate it higher than your beloved TND, which you call a masterpiece of an action film.

reply

Verily I say unto thee...people who have never heard of Imdb rate TND far higher as they tend not to be spotty teenagers who love flashy images and noise.

reply

Whats the TND?

reply

TND is TOMORROW NEVER DIES (1997).

QUANTUM OF SOLACE (2008) is excellent.

Tomorrow Never Dies.

Ah yes, the poster who calls others teenagers when they disagree.

QoS is the best Craig Bond film. It's fast, brutal, and Craig is ferocious and obsessed.

QoS might have been ahead of its time by a few years or just wasn't as polished as a slower paced Casino Royale. Indeed, the villain and overall plot wasn't the "take over the world" type we're used to and fell flat with fans but I've also noticed a lot of Bond fans coming around in recent years to it. Maybe it's because Skyfall and Spectre were letdowns overall and in comparison QoS looks a lot better.

reply

Verily I say unto thee..QoS is awful and you know it is. How can you tell if Craig is ferocious and obsessed when the camera leaps about so much you only know he is in the "movie" because it says so on the credits?

reply

Verily I say unto thee...repeating the same thing over and over does not verify that TND is better than QoS. But if it makes you feel better, by all means.

reply

If this was Daniel Craig's first Bond movie, then the rabid fans would've booed him out of the franchise.

reply

He praises QoS and craps on Skyfall. The dude is high. Spectre was a let down initially but it has grown on me with repeated viewings. Repeated viewing of QoS have not turned me. Marc Forster is not an action director of any caliber. Finding Neverland and Monster’s Ball were good dramas.

reply

Probably because he got to write his own lines? QoS was such an uneven movie and the fast cuts and shaky camera work left one ill. Not realistic at all.

reply

Seriously apparently Forster thinks I don’t need to be able to see the face of the guy Bond is fighting

reply

I have never been able to get into Sam Mendes' movies. So, neither "Skyfall" nor "Spectre" did anything for me.

"Quantum of Solace" was the last Bond movie I liked.
