FEWER! 10 Items or FEWER!!!!

Come on! Don't TV writers go to college and learn grammer?

hahahahahahaha, technically, this man is correct, but come on.

I just think it's funny because my english professor won't get off my case about that one.

Have we beaten this topic to death yet? I mean...all things considered, does it really matter? Less...fewer...I'm getting a headache.

Jackson Zero, you have created a monster. Does this sort of heated discussion happen every time you go grocery shopping?

Didn't anyone take a math class? It's a shortened simple logic statement: 10 items OR less than 10 items. The statement has been shortened to "10 items or less". Since there is no period on the statement, it does not have to be a gramatically correct sentence.

I continue to find it highly amusing that some people are so snitpickety about such a trivial little thing. It is what it is. Deal with it. :P

After all, they could have called the show "10 Items or Less than nine items, but not more than 11 items, not including the ones that you are shoplifting!"

Do I make sense? Probably not. Do I care? Not likely. Everybody say it with me altogether now...It's just a tv show...It's just a tv show.

The way everyone is carrying on about it, you'd think it was a matter of life or death. Oh no! I'm going to croak! A show is grammatically incorrect!

I know we all had our fun with this, but may I too, please?

Are you talking about Grammer, IN?

reply

It's OFFICIAL. George Bush has declared, " '10 Items or Less' is a very funny show, and the title, as far as I'm concerned, is grammaratically correct."

reply

I saw an ad that this week's episode is the "season finale"...more like "series finale"

If it is the end of this show, they should rename it, "Ten laughs or less"

reply

I believe you mean "10 laughs or fewer."

reply

Wow, could you have fewer of a life?

...Hah. Haha. Oh, hush! I thought that was quite clever.

"Don't you dare throw your ring at me. That's so *beep* cliché, I swear I'll *beep* barf!"

reply

At my local publix they fixed it up, yet in the process made another mistake. One line is 10 items or fewer, the other is "Fewer than 10 items," so you can only get away with nine.
