saw this as a parody

Love this movie so much, to me this was more like a dark comedy than anything. I thought Michael Pitt and Brady Corbet gave amazing performances. This movie is very underrated to me.

Did you like it? I think it was meant to be funny. That part after they break Tim Roth's leg and Peter says "Could you take your pants off?" Hilarious.

Reminded me of Cabin in the Woods which was making fun of horror movies.

Although I do think this was supposed to be funny, the comedy did not remind me of Cabin in the woods.

Personally, I think the comedy here was darker, more subtle, whereas Cabin in the woods is very Whedonish.

Yes - Cabin in the Woods was over the top. Funny Games was more subtle.

Like Cabin in the Woods, Funny Games really is taking a shot at the audience just as much as making fun of horror movies.
