I saw this movie a year or so ago and I could not have been
more disgusted with her sub-humanly evil [in my opinion] behavior.

I couldn't believe she saw how much he was suffering and left him on that hood overnight to bleed out.. Seriously, i think it's in some of us to automatically feel empathy ,especially if its our fault.. And others to look out solely for themselves.. It's the way of the world.

its called a movie, I know it happened in real life but the super minority is like that, otherwise the movie would never have been made. but I'm sure you already know this.

It was a good film and I couldn`t wait for him to get his inevitable revenge on her. My capacity for forgiveness went straight out the window when that bitch went from bad to worse.

Eyes pop, skin explodes, everybody dead.

Yes, this film is a cinematic masterpiece for anyone buying into the bad make over of the white, naturally blond Mena Suvari as a black girl with BLUE eyes.

This film made me laugh more than feel sympathy for anyone, mainly due to the dialogue. It also portrays human nature...in dire times, we'd rather save ourselves even if it's at the cost of another life.

She had a black friend and boyfriend and an unconventional hairstyle. That doesn't mean she's meant to be black...

The Real life perpetuator of this crime was Black.

They made Mena as black as possible, including having braids that typically a black girl would sport as a hairdo, without making her black

This film just ended a few moments ago (on the "Chiller" network..oh, and I realize that this post is a couple of years old) and I wanted to check out some of the comments.

Clearly, there are outrageous moments and that dark humor was the intention overall...nothing funny about the last 10 minutes or so. I was moved at his capacity for mercy and empathy and horrified at the degree of her narcissim and sociopathy. I doubt there are very many viewers that did not cheer (even if to themselves...I was watching it alone..one of those insomniac nights) when she actually set-up the circumstances of her own demise.

There are just too many inconsistencies and absurdities to list, perhaps the most profound being that she retained consciousness and lucidity after her legs, apprarently the tibia, were crushed up against the garage door by the vehicle. It is most likely she would have been in shock at such pain. Even he demonstrated tremendous presence of mind given his state and he deployed very audacious and masterful counter tactics with split second decisions.

Watchable.

I am studying to be an RN and I just saw this movie. I couldn't believe the way she handled the situation...I would've taken the guy to the ER right away, no matter if I lost my license or not. It's a matter of right and wrong...basic humanity, people

That's what makes you different from this nasty, vile creature. Integrity.

Also, 2 OP, no offense of course but...

Regardless of what exists and what counts, has it not occurred to you perhaps that some people may either be sociopathic or too fearful of (for them) unwanted consequences to care, and that the reason why a character in this movie acted like they did was NOT simply because...

They thought that ethics no longer count full stop? (At best, they didn't care or were afraid of incarceration and legal consequences.)

Not saying that this is how it should be. But for some people, making the right and ethically and morally correct choice is often rather difficult.

What does it even MEAN if ethics do or don't count, how and by what standards if they were NOT to count anymore, would we as humans really even MEASURE it, what, would we have an ethical-o-meter device or something and even if that was the case, its not like many people, most of whom were raised since birth and for many DECADES to believe in right and wrong, would just happily discard it like that and move on with their lives, right?

What is unfortunate however is that there will always be various uncivilized wrongdoers out there, why do you think we even have laws, courts, police, prisons etc etc etc?

Also. OK I get it its more a rhetorical question but...

Whenever someone DOES do something wrong, people often tend to ask "Is it acceptable?" or "Do ethics not count anymore?" (as opposed to, maybe, why do people do wrongful deeds etc, however few or many) but...

Let's say someone did RIGHT instead OR admitted to being wrong and was willing to accept punishment etc.

What would people be asking THEN I wonder? "Has morality in humanity IMPROVED?" - interesting!
