This movie is completely awful.

I don't know why it has a 6.3 rating. It should be atleast lower than 4.5. This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

reply

the movie wasn't even close to being the worst.. you haven't seen many bad movies then ;)

but yeah this should be around 4,5 in rating. The movie is just braindead. Nothing really fun about it, but it's not terrible either. It's one of those sunday movies you know? just chill back and watch it.

6,5 is overrated. but like i said, it can be watched a day where you are hungover, or if you got kids with you

What's wrong with average people? I hate "artsy, farsy, critically acclaimed" movies that just set the Cannes and Sundance Film Festival on fire!

reply

theres nothing wrong with normal average people, but why hate movies that are "artsy", all film has some purpose. Wild hogs was a intro into summer blockbusters comedy for people to go ad enjoy, the production and writing were not great, and they probably werent going for that route anyways. But to say that the average person hates "artsy" movies, or films, really makes the average person seem like a dullard. cinematically speaking, wild hogs deserves a low score, as a comedy, a "mindless" just sit and enjoy a 2 hour worry free period it desevres higher. and humor is subjective, perosnally i find sarcasm and a good pun to be funny, and then some people like slapstick or immature humor. simple as that.

Why can't people just sit back and enjoy a good comedy? They had great actors in it and it was a riot throughout the whole film.

What kind of movies do you like?? Will be interesting to read.

reply

I always enjoy a good comedy. But what does that have to do with this piece of junk? Curious you should use the word "riot"...15 miles north of Madrid, New Mexico sits the site of the horrendous 1982 state prison riot...that was funnier than this movie.

reply

This is the first movie i have rented in probably about 6 or 7 months that i have not been able to finish. This is one of the worst movies i have ever seen. I even watched Lost in Translation the whole way through and that was absolutely terrible. The Hitcher at least had a guy ripped in half and explosions even though it was one of the dumbest horror movies ever.

"Ah, Snaps!"

reply

Oh, yes... guys ripped in half.... THAT's what makes a movie good...!!!

reply

the only people that like these kind of movies are ignorant old homophobic pieces of *beep*

reply

funny your calling someone ignorant, only an ignorant person would stereotype the people who watch this as you just did....

I'm far from ignorant, only 32 and not that old, and definitely am not homophobic.. And yet I like this movie...

I would love to hear the kind of movies you watch...

ANYWAY:
I get so sick of you people that continually bash movies and act like you are the know it alls of what constitutes a GOOD movie... The majority of you couldn't tell an Oscar winner from absolute trash if your lives depended on it...

MOVIE CRITICS JUST PLAIN SUCK...

reply

Gotta love how people like you liberally throw the word "homophobe" at everyone you don't like.

reply

You know, If it's their opinions, then why did you insult them? I think the movie was great too!

Just because it didn't impress you doesn't mean you have any right to say something like you said, to someone who was clearly expressing their opinion.

. . .But thats just how I feel. . .

reply

I thought it was pretty sweet. Too many ppl expect to much out of a movie nowadays.

reply

I find this film hilarious, and sweet.
I like the idea of the friends getting together.
I have seen more of John Travolta's movies where he plays a bad guy (Swordfish, etc.), so I am glad to see him being a good guy here.
I normally don't like Tim Allen because somehow I think he is a bit cold-hearted, but he is good in this movie and I like his acting.

reply

Completely awful? Cmon....I had a few good laughs but it is my kind of humor. And it does mirror the midlife crisis a lot ....more than a lot really
.. Just my 2 bits. I liked it...I have a great sense of humor...lighten up

reply

Uh, i didn't think i was insulting anyone, i just thought i was expressing MY opinions on the movie and how a person can admire it more after seeing it a few times. If people out there can't bring themselves to like a movie after seeing it one or more times, then that's fine, i respect that. It's just there are some people who say they hate a certain movie, but then after watching it several times, it becomes a liker for them. I apologize if my earlier comments were too judgmental. I wasn't trying to sound all high and mighty.

Idiots are so obviously idiots that you just have to comment on them. It's like when you go outside and say gee that suns bright. It's just an observation.

I thought by watching the trailer it was going to be terrible, but when I actually saw the movie in the theater, I thought it was hilarious. Most of the funny stuff was actually kept in the movie and not in the trailer, like other comedies. And it was also PG-13, so it had some edgy humor. If you want to really see a horrible comedy go watch "Evan Almighty".

reply

I have no idea what the movie haters here expect out of a film. Personally, I don't expect every movie to be an emotionally earth-shattering art-fest with deep meaning and kleenix-wiping moment.
Wild Hogs was funny. Not the funniest movie ever, but certainly not the dull waste of time many on here seem to think it was. What did you really expect? It was humorous, and anyone who rides probably enjoyed it. It didn't pretend to be serious in any aspect -and delivered on that mark.
The best guage is audience reaction. This movie stayed out in the theaters longer than most do -so SOMETHING worthwhile must have been done. I enjoyed it, as did my wife, and even my father who never bothers with movies anymore, and hasn't been in a real theater since the first Indiana Jones movie, because he doesn't care for crowds.
THIS movie will find a spot on our store-bought dvd rack tomorrow when it comes out.

It's a matter of taste - to each their own. Look at "300" - everyone's raving like it's the greatest thing since sliced bread but, um, no thanks. So see? Matter of taste.

Crappiest piece of *beep* with a bunch of washed-up actors. Now my wife is going to drag me to some 'chick flick' to make up for it.

reply

Good, you deserve to go to a chick flick.........for not liking this one...just teasing. A good chick flick is Fried Green Tomatoes............very good movie.

This sucked. A 5.0 would've been more appropriate. Some bad acting, TERRIBLE use/abuse of a soundtrack. Crap popular rock songs not used properly, and all thrown at us like this was some music video. Tim Allen is my all time worst actor. This is exactly thw kind of movie ruining Hollywood, made for the increasingly dumb American public.

reply

these kinds of discussions are absolutely pointless, its basically 2 groups of people, one saying it sucked and another saying it was great, it is a PERSONAL opinion therefore impossible to get a 'correct' answer

reply

I agree, the movie sucked, I dont get it - with the kind of cast it has, it should have been bearable at the least!! I turned it off midway

reply

I totally agree!! I think it should have at MOST 5.0 stars. Its was pretty funny, but SO dumb. I have no idea how pieces of trash like this get 6.3 stars and awesome movies like "Circus" and "The Pink Panther" end up with 5.5 stars. Crazy.

reply

this movie was fine , i mean i had just watched hoboken hollow before this one so meh

reply

I 100% agree.
I honestly think that Touchstone have payed a large number of people to go onto imdb and talk up this movie. There is no other explanation as to why this has a rating above 4.
