Review from a parent : 4 out of 10

Space chimps is very very weak in every possible way.

The dialogue are very bad, the character development non existent, the script kinda boring and the animation ok at time, ugly most of the movie.

If you are looking for a review from a parent to bring your young kids (4-7), I would say that they will probably enjoy the movie. My 5 years old son did. We are far away from his eyes on the screen at all time and 'Wall-E' chant at the end of the movie, but I think they will enjoy.

There are chimps, travel in space, some adventure...Young male kids will be amused, especially if they like to see characters hiting walls.

Ok for kids, very very crappy for any other viewers...

I think the 4.3 that this movie has on the imdb pretty much solves any matters over if its crap or not. it's kind of average, a little too average. after half an hour it hurts to sit through but you know you must. and I wanted to love this movie.

When I read a review that says "the dialogue are very bad" I feel the review lacks a certain credibility.

The film was the definition of average, and while it had it's moments (I caught it on TV and made it through the film alright) it had just as many moments that were extremely boring.

I still laughed at some of the better scenes, and laughed at parts that were so bad (the monster in the cave...), but overall it's not as awful as everyone seems to be saying. I can imagine kids 3-10 would enjoy it, and even adults with a spare 90 minutes and a dry sense of wit (and simply like to try and watch all films ever made...) you won't come out angry for watching it... just not impressed.

Notice how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn’t have f’ed with? That’s me.
