IT APPEARS THAT SAM DUNN DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT CHRISTIAN METAL!!!!

I was disappointed that there was no mention of Christian Metal in the movie, even though it has been, and still is a huge part of the metal scene...
Starting in the 1970s with...
• Rez Band http://www.resurrectionband.com,
to the 80s and beyond with...
• Stryper http://www.stryper.com,
• Galactic Cowboys http://www.galacticcowboys.com
• Deliverance http://www.myspace.com/thebigdlives,
• Mortification http://www.soundmass.com/rowe
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&f riendid=33577610!

For three decades now, a huge festival called Cornerstone http://www.cornerstonefestival.com has taken place in Illinois each summer! All aspects of metal's sounds and sub-genres are represented by some of the most amazing bands!

Sam should correct this horrendous oversite and explain why he ignored it to begin with!!

news flash - christian "metal" sucks.

Deal with it.

reply

That's because Christian metal is a joke. Even it's run-off into the hardcore and metalcore scenes never fails to make me laugh. The only Christian band worth mentioning would be Zao, and they gave up on their beliefs because they realized how hypocritical and how much of a tool for destruction their religion is and always has been.

reply

It is too easy to criticize something you do not understand... you are only familar with the "religion" called christianity, but you do not know Christ! The religion IS a tool for destruction. I do not follow it.

reply

If you did not try to preach and shove the "holier than thou" attitude down our throat, you might get a better response.

There is no Christian Metal genre, because as one of the previous posters had put, it is lyrics only, nothing defining in the music.

reply

Haha. Christian Metal isn't a subgenre.

reply

He ignored it because no one gives a *beep* Especially about christianity.

reply

If "Christian metal" was to be included then they would have been equally obliged to do segments on the likes of NSBM. Besides, "Christian metal" is not a subgenre, it's a lyrical theme.

reply

Because no one cares about "Christian" metal. It fails.

I found it odd that Christian metal wouldn't be addressed here, especially alongside black metal. Stryper and P.O.D. at least should have been mentioned. Of course, this topic is divisive, but so is metal.

reply

Because Christians and their stupid *beep* music all suck and should be burned alive. I'm glad he didn't mention any worthless Christian *beep*
