Roaring train

I could've tolerated the film more had that stock Hannah-Barbera monster roar not been used every 15 seconds. Seriously, every time they show the train, you just hear this "ROOOOOAR" sound effect you'd hear in a SyFy channel movie. The roaring train would've still been stupid but if they at least used an original sound effect, it could've been better. But they decided to use the most stock monster roar out there. I've heard that the sound originated from an actual train, but it doesn't sound like it at all.

Finally someone else! Every 10 seconds you hear the same cartoon “ARUUUUUOOOGH” that was used in episodes of Scooby-Doo. I’ve read the supposed reason why it was used was because the actual sound is that of a real train derailing. I’m not sure of that’s actually true, but it is still distracting.

I liked that. It was something you'd see in an old 90s action film.
