Film was not too bad and the effects were quite good but there was some things I didn't like....

I think this film tried to rubbish the alternative history movement (conspiracy theories) by making out that only duggies or crazies believe in that sort of thing. Yeah right.

Also, I thought it was totally unrealistic of the guy to just 'switch' like that into Mr Crazy without some obvious signs beforehand. I've met so-called 'crazy' people in real life (genuine paranoid schizophrenics, schizoids etc) and they don't carry on like this. It's too silly.

Overall I though the film was a hit job. And an ugly one at that.

I agree. Not only crazy/dangerous people believe in conspiracy theories--esp. nowadays. A LOT of people believe in this stuff--and slowly, a lot of the theories are being proven true...

Good acting in this movie, though.

Just because someone believes in alternative history or conspiracy theories doesn't automatically make them delusional or mad. The stupid media and dumb films like this are used to discredit the truth movement which has amongst it some highly intelligent people. So next time get your facts right ."fourballoons", before spewing misinformation like a good little droid.

If one takes a look around them it's plain as day how our freedoms are being destroyed and the government is attempting to control us more and more. That in itself is graphic evidence of something not being right. The establishment is squeezing the middle class whilst the rich get richer and the poorer just become extinct.

To me it was quite obvious from the start that there was something not quite right with the guy.
The way he spoke, and acted, I would have been wary of him if it were real life.

I've met CALLED crazy people and they can seem quite normal and ordinary for a couple day, but stay with them long enough, they'll crack and show they real crazy-self. This is about control. I know about it. And they stayed together a moment, he's in control until there's a trigger that reverse the vapor and they go in crazy mode full speed.

I agree. I noticed how Peter mentions The Bilderberg Group --- which should be a legitimate concern for all human beings --- along with Timothy McVeigh and The Unabomber. Basically, let's associate real, true threats to the human population with alleged (or not) madmen to discredit all attempts to unveil government antics planet-wide.

I mean, OK, Peter was off the deep-end but the first half of that speech, until he associates himself with McVeigh, is actually 100% spot-on.

Really? I didn't get that impression at all. I always thought Peter was in some ways saner than most people; whose life experiences set him a part from the average person. Agnes seemed to be decent too. A hurting person, kind of ignorant and shortsighted; but a decent person nonetheless.

I agree with you, as long as these "most people" reside in a psychiatric hospital.

This film simply illustrates how emotionally unstable people find each other and feed their insanity together. I doubt it was meant to be a conspiracy theories commentary or propaganda against it.

The guy didn't just switch to Mr. Crazy. He gave off signs of insanity early on.

I love it when people think a character in a film is supposed to be representative of everyone. It's a single character, in a single film. Sheesh.
