Is this his last movie?
He hasn't directed a movie in 10 years. Considering it's been silent on new movie projects, do you think he'll surprise everyone with a new one? Or is this it?
Still pretty cool he's going back to Twin Peaks though.

After this piece of crap, he probably killed himself.
shareI'm sure he has a lot of project ideas in the works. After Twin Peaks' new season is released, he'll probably make an announcement about his next film.
shareAt this point (five years later), it looks more and more like if Twin Peaks does continue, it may be without him. The prospects of him directing another feature film are diminishing by the year.
shareSure seems like it. And "Inland Empire" was such a dud to go out on. I'm so glad he at least did "Twin Peaks: The Return", which I really liked. I don't need more Twin Peaks, certainly don't need any without his involvement. But I do wish he'd direct another feature. Or another cable series.
shareBut Twin Peaks season 3 was a film. So if and when he "goes out" that will be the last film in his catalog should he never make another.
shareHow so? I'm not talking about the medium it was shot on. It was an 18 episode series on Showtime. That's not "a film".
shareI get you. Just saying that's what Lynch said about TP S3, that it was one long film in past interviews.
shareOh, I see. Well, if its his final work, it was a very good one. But I hope he has at least one more theatrical release in him.
shareAs do I.
I loved TP S3 from start to finish. I do really like IE too, but TP much much more.
Here's hoping he gets Wisteria, Unrecorded Night, or whatever it is he had in mind back on track after the pandemic delay . .
