The Equalizer
I watched this movie (The Equalizer) last night on DVD and I really liked it! Denzel Washington, and Bill Pullman were really great in the cast! I especially liked the last scene where Denzel Washington looks out toward the sea.

I'd say it was okay. It starts out fairly well but goes downhill in the back half. All in all it felt like a relatively generic action film and Denzel was clearly too old for the role and unable to move like the deadly killer he's supposed to be.
I'd say that for action junkies it's worth the time, but not by a wide margin.
One thing that's weird: The set up for the rest of the movie is Denzel getting involved with a prostitute who's being mistreated by her Russian pimp. Then she gets her ass beat, ends up in the hospital and then virtually disappears from the story. This character who was so important early on literally just vanishes and is barely even mentioned for like an hour. What the fuck kind of writing is that?
To be clear, I didn't hate it. I'll give it a 6.5/10.
