Stephen King?

Gets so many credits for films though they were either short stories or done better in film.

The movie was alright, but the short story is better. King's description of what happens to the hero in that room is incredible.

I do not understand your concern. If he wrote the stories from which the film is adapted he deserves credit. How length of the original story is irrelevant. If the film is "better" than the original story (which, by the way, is unlikely. Pretty much every Stephen King inspired film I have ever seen did not live up to the written story.) is also irrelevant. He wrote the the story, he deserves the credit for it. Do you think creators do not deserve credit for their creations?
