Did anyone like it?

Just curious... If so or if Not which one of the 8 is your favorite?
"Could You Kill Your Best Friend?"

reply

No.

This movie is not cleaver or well made, but uses elements from other films and television shows to even lesser effect. Can we say "Party of Five" with vampires. Teen agnst is not deep. If you want to see better indie vampire films that actually have depth check out The Addiction (1995) and Habit (1997). Much better films. Even read as a queer text or an allusion to family secrets, The Hamiltions fails. It is one of the worst movies I have seen. A lazy and unoriginal film that acts as if it has something to say when it does not.

Loved it- definitely my favourite of the 8- I kicked myself afterwards for not seeing the twist coming!

I thought it was okay. It wasn't groundbreaking, but it held my interest for the duration.

It was ok. My list from best to worst:

The Abandoned (best)
Reincarnation
The Gravedancers
The Hamiltons
Unrest
Dark Ride
Wicked Little Things
Penny Dreadful (Worst)

I think if you view it as more of a poetic (or artsy) film than a horror, it works much better. That was my observation after watching it, certainly not a bad film, it was a good indie effort. The major flaw, I agree, was that it did move a little too slowly.

Ive liked most of the after dark ones, I think ive seen 15 of them....I do have to shamefully admit I didnt c the end coming...I mean there were signs, I just thought they were sick

People get hung up on all the talk about the "twist ending." I think anyone who's watched a few movies (they don't even have to be horror films for this to apply) probably saw that coming long before the big reveal, but I thought that overall, the movie was lots of fun. I thought this was the best of the AD films.

but if youve seen enough horror films it coulda just been that they were cannibals with their mutant sibling tucked away....the ending was too obvious that I was looking for something more

Meh, I neither loved it nor hated it.
It had some potential, but the execution was terrible, the pacing was damn slow, and the movie overall ended up being very amateurish.
Decent and with an interesting premise, but surely not something I would watch several times.
The twist at the end was remarkable, though.
I'm kinda curious to see what will happen in the sequel.
