Anyone else think Beowulf looked like...

Did anyone else think that Beowulf looked just like Max Martini http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0242882/?

I thought he looked more like Sean Bean then Ray Winston.

reply

I would say Sean Bean too

reply

Watching it on AMC right now and was blown away to find out it wasn't him.

patrick swayze

Beowulf is OBVIOUSLY the spawn of Russell Crowe's Maximus from Gladiator. Actually, he's like a blonde Maximus on steroids. The voice concept is the same, ruff gruff he-man.

reply

Beowolf??

There are no Danes, Geets, Sweeds, Norwegians, or Fins who could pull it off.

Maybe Dolf Lundgren. So, why not someone who looks like Sean Bean? With the CGI, you could use Roger Moore. I probably would have used a Scot to be Hrothgar.

Scarlet Johanson would have been Grendal's mom.

reply

Heck, with the CGI, you could use Burgess Meredith, and he's been dead for years! LOL.

Time wounds all heels.

reply

He looked a lot like Henning Baum (german actor, well-known in Europe). Google his pics. He's a big guy too, not as much as Winstone though.

reply

I see the resemblance. Also Sean Bean and Russel Crowe.

reply

I guess people see what they want to see. However, clearly he was meant to resemble Russell Crowe from Gladiator.

Millennial = Homo Sapiens born 1990 or after; Losers who think they know everything but don't

reply

Clearly? You're right, people see what they want to see.

reply

Millennials were supposed to have been born in the 80s actually.

reply

To me, he was an idealized version of Ray Winstone. Ever see him in Sexy Beast?
