Favorite Character?

I'm curious who everyone's favorite character was and why.

Mine was definitely Oogway, he was so hilarious without even trying. My favorite part was when he was blowing out the candles and for some reason I couldn't stop laughing at the fact that he was always shaking.

Shifu was my favorite. I love how his ears and his eyes twitch, and hearing Dustin Hoffman's voice coming out of that little red panda was awesome. "Panda, we do not wash our pits in the Pool of Crystal Tears." Best line in the whole movie.

Tai Lung. No question. Awesome bad guy attitude, amazing skill, also, his mustache whiskers were awesome. I still refuse to believe he's dead. He'll come back somehow.

Ian McShane was perfect for this voice.

"So that is his name.... Po. The battle will be LEGENDARY!"

It's awesome how he doesn't even flinch at the Dragon Warrior being named Po. lol.

I loved Tai Lung. I'm a sucker for villains, especially good ones. He had a believable backstory and character progression, and he had an overall motive that was well developed (as opposed to "Ah, the ol' wipe-out-the-world ploy" which I've always thought was a weak and pathetic excuse for someone to be an antagonist).

Po, Po's dad, Master Shefu, the old Turtle.

My Favorite character in the movie is Shifu. My sister just asked me who did Shifu and I didn't know until I knew it was Dustin Hoffman. I liked all the actions and when he told Po that he cannot Quit. All the humor and I see him and the other characters as the way my two best friends used them for their spoofs, music videos, etc

Tai Lung and Oogway were my favorites. I also really liked Shifu, Po and Mantis. Mantis only had a couple of lines but I really liked when he was giving Po acupuncture for his wounds and said that he wouldn't judge Po because of his size, since he was so small. That one line says a lot about his character. Tigress was great too but I really liked Mantis more just because of that one line. :)

Definately Shifu!

FTW!

I'm going with Mantis, Tai Lung and Po. Viper looked the most interestig in her battles (being limbless and all!) and she was nicest to Po early, but whatever.

Although I liked something about each of the characters, I would likely say my favorite character is Master Shifu. He definitely had some good character development, being given a back-story alongside Tai Lung. On that note, he also showed a variety of emotions - from his colder side while training Po, his witty sarcasm, and finally warming up to Po at the end of the story. His kung fu techniques were also impressive. He also dealt with an inner conflict - stopping a threat vs hurting someone he cared about, and then later on - avoiding bonding with his students at the risk of having them break his heart once again. Oh, and then there was Dustin Hoffman. When I heard that Jackie Chan was going to be in this movie, but found out he was a side character, I had thought "No way! He should be the kung fu master!" I can say that I thought wrong, now, as I personally liked Hoffman in his role as Shifu. I do wish Monkey (Chan's role) had gotten more lines - as someone previously stated, the Furious Five seemed very underdeveloped.

TL;DR - Master Shifu is my favorite character, because of the depth of his character, and Dustin Hoffman did a great job voicing him.
