It's "Honey I shrunk the kid", meets Antz and Buglife...
My kids have no desire to see this movie at all........
Ya seen one or 2 "ant" movies, you've pretty much seen them all.
Can you post a list of what they are interested in seeing...because we all want to follow their movie going tastes!

Original this is not. However "The Ant Bully" is quite enjoyable. Being the parent of a little kid and uncle of many more I often have to watch animated films (which it is not a problem because I enjoy animated films as well). Anyway for obvious reasons kids have different tastes than grown-ups. Sometimes the films I like, they don't, or vice versa. Sometimes we agree, though.
Now this is how I judge a film aimed to kids: If I like it but my kids didn't, then it wasn't "funny" enough or perhaps it had a plot too convoluted to be followed by little kids. If the opposite happens then the movie is perhaps too banal or shallow. When we all love it, then that movie has to be a very good animated flick.
Talking about 'The Ant Bully': as I've already said, it's not the most original movie ever but it's highly entertaining for kids and mildly enjoyable for adults.
Regarding "ants movies": My fav one is 'Antz' but my kids liked better 'The Ant Bully' and 'A Bug's Life'.

I actually wasn't interested in seeing this myself. However, it was 12 am, I didn't feel like sleeping, and it was online for Netflix instant watch so I thought "Eh what the hell" and gave it a shot.
The characters are likeable, the designs are pleasing, and the story is pretty decent. It's a weak movie in some areas but it's still worth a watch and if you're kids are young enough to get messages, it has a pretty good message in it.
I love Ant movies! I was 12 when this came out and I wanted to see it so bad. The Ant Movies are all different and maybe I am bias because my favorite bugs are Ants but I enjoy Ant movies. This one is okay, its not my favorite but it was enjoyable.
