"You can stay awake for a week no problem"

LOL what?? Dr. Daniel Craig says that to Nicole when she confesses to be infected. Who in the hell can stay awake for a week no problem? And after, that, "there are meds you can use".
This movie was kind of a joke. Intense and engaging, but really silly at the same time.

You are so wrong. I stayed up for five days, no problem. My dad was dying, in a coma, and I flew in from out of town. I volunteered for the night watch and stayed up every night (theory was to sleep during the day). Turns out, I stayed up during the day because my sibs and mom were there. Time was a blur. Five days later when he passed, it dawned on us, I was up five days in a row. No problem. Other than a morning cup of coffee, I did not OD on caffeine. It helped that I didn't realize I was up that long. But in this movie, she was screwed. You can't stay awake forever.

i haven't slept in 7 months so a week is nothing

Most posters here sound like naive children.

It's EASILY possible to stay up for a week straight.

Especially if you've gotten your body used to low hour amounts of sleep.

A bright light can hollow the deepest of nothingness.

Perhaps Dr. Daniel Craig was using psychological tricks on the psychiatrist herself. Aim for a big figure, and people settle for a number higher than average.

Like that trick where they tell you to turn your body as much as possible, going for 360 (obviously not possible). But by using an obscenely large number and mental exaggeration, they found that subjects ended up turning their bodies way more than had they told them to aim for a moderate figure instead.
