what did you think of Ashley and Ashlyn?

the two girls who died in the tanning beds for those who don't know. :P

I thought that they were really hot BUT I don't think I've ever met or seen someone as dumb as these two were

I mean seriously they were the biggest bimbos ever! and it was partly there own fault that they died because Ashley took her drink in when the guy told her not to and then ashlyn turned up the thermostat. and when the beds started heating up you could tell by the way they squirmed that they could feel the heat rising but of course they waited till the beds got to 300 to try and get out and it was too late

if I ever went in one of those things if I could feel the heat rising I would be out of there so fast. also when the plank of wood fell all they had to do was push it out and they could open the beds and escape their horrible death.

yes I kno it's only a movie but these two were so unbelievably stupid that it was pathetic.

what are other peoples thoughts??

Um.

Okay, The Ashes did give off kind of a ditzy vibe. Ashley especially was incredibly irresponsible in which she brought the drink in even if it was "empty". Rules are rules. However, a lot of you seem to be conveniently leaving out two things:

1) The situation sent them in a panic. Being roasted alive inside a capsule sends you into panic mode. Am I saying "normal people" wouldn't think to just slide out the board out? No, but given Ashley and Ashlyn's circumstances it isn't very plausible to call them stupid for not being able to think logically in incredibly grim and morbid situation.

2) Simply put, death. Death was behind everything all along. He/she/it knew that Ashley would set the drink on the surface, that Ashlyn would raise the temperature, and that they would not attempt to escape until well after the tanning bed temperature had risen to dangerous values. Death uses exploits, uses it to his advantage to kill them. Grimy, I know.

3) The shelf. The shelf is also a major contribution to their deaths. Granted, Ashley loosened the shelf when she tried obtaining a CD, it's still the facility's job to make sure that the shelve - a HIGH-UP SHELF ON A WALL - is secure. Heck, in the alternate death scene, it fell off the wall and knocked Ashlyn unconscious! If it weren't for the fact that Ashley was essentially directly responsible for their deaths, I would say that the Phoenix Tanning Salon was 100% at fault.

As for The Ashes personality themselves: I mean I wouldn't say they were bad people. Yeah, they were kind of conceited. However, they were still somewhat sweet considering they tried being nice to Wendy and wanted to "look good" for the kids that never got a graduation.

*Suddenly remembers the statement they made when they were searching for music "Ugh, Celene? Britney? Dude , are we the only cool people who come here or what?"

....let the bitches burn.

Semi off topic: I like that you've noticed this, and I'm sure that others have too, but I'm still glad. I see people, every now and again, saying that one plothole of each movie is that the deaths seem to be caused by the victims, or one of the other characters doing something. Like you say it's Death knowing that they'd do all those things.

Um, no, they were not the biggest bimbos ever and even further from stupid; that title goes to Elle Woods' friends from Legally Blonde. They were sweet and adorable, and more clever than people might at first give them credit for as they show when they blow off Franky.

Not remotely funny.

Both actresses looked like they were in their thirties instead of their teens (as a 30-something, I have nothing against that, but I found them really unbelieveable). I also hate fake tits on principle. Not a big fan of those characters, I guess.

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.

They were pretty likable, my favorite "first off'ed" character in the franchise.

They were bimbos, but they were kind. They definitely didn't deserve their fate.

Corduroy pillows: they're making headlines. 
