This movie deserved a sequel.

Instead we got Crimson Peak and The Strain. That's not much of a consolation.

Sadly, it just didn't make enough at the box office, which the first one failed to do too.

There's still rumour and speculation about a third, and final, part- so fingers crossed!

yeah it's pretty clear this franchise supposed to be at least a trilogy. the whole "prophecy" plot thing still left unanswered and it got more mysteries. The Dark Knight monopolized the whole audiences in that year, so it's understandable that the movie underperformed in box office

I liked both Crimson Peak and Pacific Rim.

I heard an interview with Del Toro somewhere. Yes, he wanted to make a third film, but couldn't get funding.

Pity, this is a way way cool movie, and I've love to see more like it.
