Pegasus Vs Galactica

I've been re-watching the series. Finished S3 E4. It's so stupid the Pegasus was sacrificed instead of the Galactica. The Pegasus was bigger, newer, and stronger I would assume.

Agreed, they should have given up the old one and then just renamed the new one

This would later bite the Admiral in the behind when he later finds out Galactica’s superstructure is full of cracks, cheapened defective and about to fail, Pegasus would have never had that issue, but then the title of the show would have to be renamed.
