The acting is appalling especially that by the too aptly named Taylor Kitsch.
The plot is awful and the utter lack of any logic is not quaint it's sickening. Why it's on TV here every year is beyond me to understand.
No the film has no redeeming features. Everything about it is awful or absolutely boring from the acting, the crappy action sequences, the dull look of Mars, the awful costume and ship designs. It just completely sucks.
shareI don't know. I remember not liking the space-time jumps at the beginning. It could've been interesting as a western, but fell asleep after Carter didn't get the gold, was ambushed by a Martian and suddenly ended up on Mars.
