SPOILERS

So we know that towards the end of the movie, the Chairman (instead of the intended Nobu) was led by Pumpkin to witness Sayuri having sex with the General. Why didn’t the Chairman care that Sayuri was being a slut? Pumpkin made a calculation and Sayuri was upset about it since it was assumed that the Chairman would be disgusted by it and reject Sayuri forever. Why did the Chairman dismiss something so significant?

Because the Chairman was never attracted to her in the first place. Note how throughout the film its always Nobu that talks to her directly.
