I rarely pay attention to ratings anyway. Just because 68% of people didn't like the movie doesn't mean I won't like it. Everyone is different. Plus online you get people who vote without seeing the movie. They may rate it low because they hate an actor in it, it's based off a book or a remake.

Oh yes it does, this is a terrible film! It's waste of talented actors, the jokes missed more than they hit, the premise is absurd and has numerous inconsistencies, all the characters are (to some extent) A-holes, and the film's promotion of conformity is just disturbing -It's pretty much saying that if you don't celebrate Christmas, you're a horrible and selfish person. Ironic, considering that forcing someone to celebrate Christmas in the same way you do is selfish more than anything else. share
Well this is a dumb fun Christmas Movie, Like this movie that's out now called Office Christmas Party?! Don't try to take things literally that you see in Movies. It's just a Movie. I'm pretty sure Dan Aykroyd wouldn't make someone put up frosty in real life...
shareIt's definitely dumb, but not fun. I wouldn't mind if it was making fun of conformity and commercialism and was actually funny, but it wasn't either of those things.
It was outright promoting commercialism and conformity and was incredibly unfunny, no wonder this movie was rated low!

This film having fans is the definition of Lowered Expectations.
It's not 5% on Rotten Tomatoes bad. But it's not a good movie either.
