I'm a straight male, and I really enjoyed this movie. Unlike a lot of girl movies, this manages both to be funny and touching without being corny or sappy.

A recent study showed that gay men and straight women have similar brains. Since this movie appeals to women, it probably appealed to a lot of gay men as well.

Funny though, I went into this movie not expecting much. It was on HBO and I had nothing else to watch. But I was immediately taken with it.
